Begin With The End in Mind

I have recently picked up a new skill that is adding a lot of fun to my day to day experience.

I desire to continue to grow and engage in life in new, fun, and different ways, so I went on youtube and started watching 2-3 minute videos about sketching and drawing. I am actually enjoying myself and I love the bite sized pieces of information. I am mostly very new to the field of art and feel like I have a lot to learn.

I am interested, engaged and happy while I spend those few minutes on my computer  doing art. It adds a layer of depth and dimension to my life that I did not expect. I am not drawing for anyone else, so it doesn’t matter what it looks like. What I am finding is that even if it isn’t perfect, I’m liking my sketches anyway. This was totally unexpected as I have spent a lot of time being a perfectionist. Perhaps I don’t care anymore what people think (not likely), or perhaps because it is so much fun, it doesn’t really matter. In the end, I am learning something new and am enjoying myself in the process.

I am thrilled as this really keeps my life and mindset fresh, instead of living the same old boring routine day in and day out.

What do you want to feel as you live your life? How can you add small things to make your life fresh, interesting, and fun?

I’d love to hear what you are doing!
