One of the most inspiring sessions I have ever encountered was with a woman who came to me to quit smoking. As we were chatting, she told me she wanted to go back to school to become a nurse. I asked her if she would like to discuss it under gentle hypnosis, she agreed, so we proceeded.

 While under hypnosis, and through a series of questions, it came up that she genuinely wanted to be a female home builder! She was miserable in her job and relationships—no wonder she had a hard time quitting smoking! For her entire life, she had bought into gender-specific roles, and the obligations projected onto us by society, when at her core, she wanted something out of the norm.
